The Funniest Thing I've Read About Disco D Since He Died
"His studio was right down the street from my apartment; one time when I was over, he kept trying to get Kenan from Good Burger and Fat Albert, who lived on the floor below, to come up and smoke with him...'White widow, dude! C'mon!'".
Who knew they had it in um? I've got some of their stuff from the thrash days but everyone knows those kinda bands really hit the spot in a live setting. The first time I saw these guys the dude jumping around and screaming in this clip was standing almost perfectly still behind a huge box of wires. Black Dice - Live Clip 05.19.02
This track isn't actually that new but I'd pretty much forgotten about it. I'm not really too happy with the mix but that shit happens. I actually found the original four track tape in my car when I was back in Jersey, so it might just be on when that shit comes in the mail. Buncha cool stuff on that tape, I'll keep you posted.
The jam of the century. This is the first Dipole Dipole track we recorded and I'm thinking also the first song that we wrote after Derek joined. Hopefully this and the rest of the tracks off another four track tape made in Logan's attic last winter will see the light of day sometime soon. Both these tracks could use some editing but what are you gonna do? No shame in repeating the same riff for a couple minutes.
Being home from school for an extended period of time coupled with a complete lack of any responsibility in Jersey allow me to ingest some good fashioned television when the time is right. You know what they're damn showing on TV these days? Entire half hour segments of nothing but funny clips off YouTube. TV is really gonna fucking die man. That's my pick for the next five to ten years, giant computer monitors in the center of every Amerikkkan living room. That or we'll all be hunched over our individual screens the size of a sports watch. Probably both.
Anyway, I'm sure it's not news to anyone that TV sucks. Can't hate too hard though, saw the video for Throw Some D's on regular ass TV tonight. Know what though? The YouTube version has swear words. It's just a wrap for TV any way you slice it. Rich Boy - Throw Some D's (Uncut)
